Mystical Love Poetry: Back Home
I began my “career” as a poet when I was a teenager. Something was awakening in me and it burst forth through my mind, spilling out of my pen onto paper. What a glorious thing! I want to share with you one of my first cracks at mystical love poetry, I wrote it when I was only 14 years old. It has finally been published in my book, Rumi Would Have Laughed. Thank you for allowing me to share it with you.
Back Home
Oh! Break Free! Break Free!
Crack the shell
Sails set for sea
Be born as a seed upon the wind
Oh! Pure Love
Oh! Dear Friend
Begin to wander, begin to roam
Begin to find your way back home
Become the sun, shining bright
Not just sun, but pure light
Fall my Love, with the rain
Let it wash away the pain
Flow and ebb with the tide
Love, my love, in love abide
