Masculine Spirituality and Spiritual Counseling
Masculine energy is such an incredible force in this world, and is deeply needed. But masculine spirituality seems to have somehow turned into this idea of being a pushover, or of being weak, or of being ruled by your emotions. Or on the other side, is the belief that being a strong man is in acting like a jerk, and controlling and domineering those around him. You can be a strong spiritual man, and not be forceful.
I have been actively involved with my spiritual practices for over 36 years, and I can tell you from personal experience, that being spiritual doesn’t mean relinquishing your masculinity. As a matter of fact, as a spiritual counselor, I know just how important your spiritual masculinity is to the world. I want you to know that you can be in integrity with your masculine energy and still be a deeply spiritual being, with a strong relationship to your spiritual traditions. Masculine spiritual energy is a huge force in our world, and one that needs to be celebrated and cultivated. Spiritual masculinity breeds strong, deep, loving relationships, and inner strength and knowing.
A spiritual man knows how to lead without controlling. A spiritual man can meet a strong woman, and instead of being tamed by her, or seeking to control her, will hold her as an equal. This spiritual connection to your maleness can bring you a deeper level of intimacy than you have ever reached before in your relationships. You will have stronger, deeper, more meaningful relationships, starting with yourself and moving out from there. You will learn how to get in touch with your emotions and to not be ruled by them. And I will teach you how to stand with your woman through her emotions and hold strong. You can cultivate your natural male knowledge to know how to be with her through those times on an instinctual level while maintaining your masculine integrity. The world needs more men to embrace their spirituality, and when you work with me as your spiritual counselor, I can guide you through that process without you feeling like you have to leave your masculinity at the door.
