The soul is the spark of divine energy that is who we are, it’s the true High Self. The soul becomes wrapped in a human form at birth.

The Hindus call the soul Atman. They think of it as a series of sheaths that we can uncover until we get to the essence of the soul. That’s the way they look at our spiritual path, the journey through sheaths and learning to become aware of them and getting closer and closer to becoming aware of who we are as the soul, which is greater than any of the bodies we talk about.

What’s awesome about the soul is that when we get into our soul awareness it gives us altitude and in that altitude we can see our whole lives from that vantage point. When we look down on our lives we can see the karma and different involvements and lessons. Our soul’s intention is to experience expansion and loving and learning, it does not have any of our value judgments about good or bad. It has no value judgments whatsoever about what’s happening to us. The soul has the vantage point that we are indestructible and infinite. The soul just moves on and keeps moving, lifetime after lifetime.
