Cultivate Peace Through Spiritual Counseling
Peace and Harmony are universal human desires. But they can be elusive for even the most practiced of us. I remember as a teenager feeling a deep sense of unrest. I wanted to know why I was here, what this life was all about, and what we were all here to experience together. In short, I had walked into some of those burning questions that we have as humans about ourselves, and life, and the world around us.
I studied for years, reading through the texts of many different traditions to glean information and find answers. Through this process of reading, and studying, and especially in working with my teacher John Roger, I began to find some of the answers that I was looking for. I started to understand that the most important relationship that you, or I, or any human being here on earth will ever have, is the relationship that we have with ourselves. I began to see how lost we can get as human beings by getting caught up in the thoughts, beliefs, and emotions of others (and sometimes even ourselves).
I started to recognize that being human means more than being carried away on the waves of our own emotions, or projecting ourselves into the unchangeable past and untouchable future. I started to see that living in this current moment, this moment of now, is the only way to truly find peace within ourselves. I saw how important it is to recognize our Basic Self, our Conscious Self, and our Higher Self. I started to learn how to build strong and open relationships with these three selves within me, and to communicate with them to help me stay on my path.
You are not alone in your desire for peace. It can be difficult to sort through all of the books, teachings, and information to understand what is really important and meaningful for you in your own Soul’s Curriculum. As a spiritual counselor with over 30 years of experience, I know how to help you navigate the process of learning to recognize and build relationships with your Higher Self so that you can learn to walk your own path with more ease and grace. Learning to use our discernment is a fine skill that can take years to master, but can be helped along with an experienced guide to facilitate the process.
